IT'S NOT THAT DEEP

The intertidal zone is the space between the high and low tides. Animals that live here are unique and well adapted to changing flow of water. While often overlooked, the intertidal zone is teeming with life, you just need to know when to visit.

Every trip to the intertidal zone is different. One day you may see bobtail squid, cuttlefish, and octopus, and others you'll find nudibranchs, flower crabs, and stingrays. But thats what makes every experience unexpected, authentic, and thrilling.

ALL WALKS OF LIFE

Our walking tours are easy and suitable even for kids! The substrate we will be walking on may be muddy, so booties will be provided for your comfort and safety.

ADORABLE ODDITIES UNDER THE SURFACE

"The sea is as near as we come to another world"

Life in the intertidal zone can be cute or creepy, but we love them all the same!

HEAR FROM OUR ADVENTURERS

I had the privilege of joining Jo for an early morning shorewalk at Wellington Point, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Thanks to Jo’s guidance, I spotted my very first nudibranchs - something I’ve loved since childhood but had never seen in person until now. Jo went above and beyond to make the walk enjoyable and accessible, even offering me equipment when I didn’t have my own.
